Clients all the time are asking me about getting a pre-inspection done on their home prior to listing the property. They claim it is expensive and an expense that if they wait, the buyer will incur. I always suggest getting a pre-inspection done on your home. It will allow you to see what repairs need to be made prior to the buyer having to bring it to your attention. If there are repairs that the buyer's home inspector finds, this could cause the buyer to reduce their offer or ask for repairs to be made by an expensive contractor. Having an inspection done will give you the piece of mind that your home is ready to go on the market and up for the challenge of buyer's meticulous eye.
